Who are we?

Lockdown is an Escape Room activity based in Ormskirk, West Lancashire.

What is an Escape room I hear you say?

An Escape room is where you and your team get locked in a room by one of our Game Masters. You have 60 minutes to work though the room’s puzzles to find the final solution to open the door and make your escape! Each room has a back-story and difficulty rating, which one you choose is up to you…

How many players is this for? Can I bring my dog?

Each room has a maximum of 5 players. As much as we love animals, unfortunately dogs, cats, birds, cattle and other none code-cracking animals cannot be brought with you.

How do I get to you?

We are accessible by train and car and if you are a secret wizard; by broom. Behind Lockdown there is a pay and display car park (Stiles Car Park) whilst Ormskirk train station is approximately a 5 minute walk from us. We are 30 minutes on the train from Liverpool and 57 minutes from Preston. Ormskirk also has great bus links from Wigan, Skelmersdale and Southport.

How much is it to play?

Depending on how many of your fantastic friends / family play- the cheaper the price per person per game. To get full benefit per person, playing with as many people as possible will give you the best price per player. The best way of checking games prices is to go through our booking system; this will give you all the info you need. Remember, each room can have a minimum of 2 players and a maximum of 5 players.

Anyone aged 17 or under must be accompanied by an appropriate adult who is aged 18 or over who must be present in the game; please remember that each room is limited to 5 people. Anyone with any questions or concerns over the room’s complexity or themes should contact Lockdown before booking.

Is this enjoyable?

Oh hell yeah! Lockdown offers unique experiences that you will remember for a long time. It’s one of the only places you can, in essence, play a computer game in real life!

Describe what this is similar to?

An escape room is a lot like some computer games you have seen. Such as; mobile escape the room games, Broken Sword on console, or even “Zork” for you oldies! It’s also like some TV shows you have seen; such as The Crystal Maze, Fort Boyard, and more recently like the 2019 film “Escape Room” (but without the gruesome murder!)

I’ve got a special occasion coming up, is this suitable?

Birthdays, Anniversaries, Hen & Stag Do’s… you name it, Lockdown would be awesome for this occasion! Even bring your mum for mother’s day… she’ll love it!

What should I wear?

Clothes are a must! Something casual and comfortable. We wouldn’t recommend full Military Regalia, high heels, or a hot-dog costumes.
